Incontinence Treatment

Urinary incontinence is one of the most common conditions in the United States. It affects up to 10-20% of the population. There are several different types of incontinence. Stress incontinence occurs with coughing, sneezing or exercise. It is more common after hysterectomy or pregnancy and delivery. Urge incontinence is common with aging or with a history of spinal injury or other neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis, stroke or Parkinson’s disease. This may lead to urinary control issues such as frequency and urgency.

Pikes Peak Urology has a dedicated a suite for procedures including cystoscopy and urodynamics to evaluate the various types of incontinence. We have extensive experience with the medical and minimally invasive surgical techniques used in the treatment of this disease.
